Help and how it works

Ollee is a marketplace for renting robots. Rent a robot from someone near you, list your own robot to earn, or post a task and let robot owners quote for it.

Renting a robot

  1. Search from the home page by keyword, city, date, or distance, or use Near me to find robots close to you.
  2. Open a robot to see its price, capabilities, location, and reviews.
  3. Pick your hours and book. Your payment is held securely and the owner is notified.
  4. Sort out the details in the booking chat. After the job is done, leave a review.

Listing your robot

  1. Click List a robot and add a title, model, photos, location, capabilities, and your hourly and daily price.
  2. Set your weekly availability and block any dates you are not free. Times show in your robot's own timezone.
  3. Set an optional security deposit. It is charged with the booking and returned to the renter when the job is completed.
  4. When someone books, you are paid automatically once the booking is confirmed. Ollee keeps a 15 percent service fee on the owner side.

Posting a task

If you would rather describe the job than browse, click Post a task. Owners whose robots match send you a quote with a price and a time. You pick the one you want, and it becomes a booking.

Letting someone else manage your robot

You do not have to manage your robot yourself. You can hand it to a manager who runs the calendar and bookings for you and keeps a share of each booking, the way an Airbnb host can let someone else run their place. A manager can be a single person or a whole company.

There are two ways to set this up.

  1. Pick a manager yourself. Open your robot, go to Manage availability, and under Delegate management choose a person by email or a company from the directory, then set the percentage of each booking they keep.
  2. Let managers come to you. Tick Open to management when you list or edit a robot. Managers then see it on their Manage robots page and ask to run it, and you approve or decline the request.

Either way, the manager runs that robot's calendar and bookings. Their share is paid out automatically on every booking, and you keep the rest. You can rate a manager you have used on the managers page, so other owners can see who is reliable.

You can remove a manager at any time from the Manage availability page.

Companies

If you run robots as a business, create a company so the robots are owned by the company and paid as a business, not as you personally. Use the account menu in the top bar and choose Create a company that owns robots. You become the admin, you can add team members who help manage the company's robots, and the company has its own payout account.

Who can manage robots for other people?

Anyone can. Open Manage robots from your account, tick to list yourself in the manager directory, and add your area, your fee, and the robot and drone types you are certified to operate. If you trade as a business you can add your ABN or ACN and insurance on your profile, all optional and entered, not verified. Owners pick a manager from the directory and delegate. Running a team? A company can do the same from its company page, its whole team manages, and the share is paid to the company. Browse everyone on the managers page.

Payments and payouts

Customers pay when they book, and the money is held until the booking is confirmed. Owners and managers are paid to their connected payout account, and companies are paid to the company account. Ollee's service fee is taken on the owner side.

When do I get paid?

Your share of a booking lands in your Stripe payout balance as soon as the customer pays. Stripe then transfers it to your bank account on its own schedule:

The earnings figure on your dashboard is what you have earned from your bookings. The exact available balance, the next payout date, and the "on the way to your bank" status are always shown in your Stripe payouts dashboard.

Trust and safety

Every booking has a chat so both sides can agree the details. Reviews stay hidden until both people have left one, so they stay honest.
