Drone hire

Rent a drone from a local owner by the hour or day — for filming, photography, inspections, mapping, or just to try one before you buy. Hire the machine on its own, or book it with its owner as your pilot.

Two ways to hire

Bare hire: you collect the drone (or the owner delivers it), you fly it, you return it. Best when you already fly and just need the hardware.

With an operator: the owner flies it for you and you direct the shots. Listings marked “operator included” work this way — it's the easiest option for events, shoots and inspections. Looking for the full job done for you? See drone services.

How it works

  1. Search drones near you and pick a listing — rates, photos and reviews are all up front.
  2. Book by the hour or day. Payment is held securely and the owner confirms the details in chat.
  3. Pick it up or have it delivered, get it done, return it, and review each other.

Own a drone that mostly sits in its case?

List it once and earn every time it flies. You set the price, the deposit, and whether you fly it yourself. Here's how listing works.

Common questions

How much does it cost to hire a drone?

Camera drones typically go for tens of dollars an hour to a few hundred a day, depending on the model and whether a pilot is included. Every Ollee listing shows the owner's actual hourly and daily rate up front.

Do I need to know how to fly it?

Not necessarily. Many listings include the owner as the operator — you book the result, they fly. If you hire the drone on its own, you're the pilot, so pick a machine you're comfortable with.

Is a deposit required?

Owners can set a refundable security deposit, held on your card during the booking and released when the drone comes back in one piece.

What drones can I hire?

Whatever local owners have listed — from compact camera drones to cinema and mapping rigs. Search your city to see what's nearby.
